  • Pupils will be guided by the receptionist to enter and leave one at a time, via the hand sanitiser.
  • Each pupil’s temperature will be taken on entry. (contactless) Raised temperatures will not be admitted to the studio.
  • Adults entering must wear a mask. Please note, this is not advised while dancing.
  • Please do not attend classes if poorly. If you or your child presents with any COVID 19 symptoms, please let us know so we may inform others. Please do not attend classes if you or your child have come into contact with anyone with COVID 19 symptoms. As per current guidelines, isolation of 14 days is recommended.
  • Dancers should arrive ready dressed. Ballet/dance shoes to put on in reception.
  • Classes will have maximum of 8 pupils, until advised otherwise.
  • The studio will have 8 floor stickers to indicate a pupil’s patch. Ballet bags will be placed here and this is the pupil’s waiting area when observing or waiting in class. Bags and coats should be kept to a minimum.
  • The studio will be sanitised in between every class. The timetable has been adjusted to allow for this.
  • Receptionists will sanitise the desk, stool, door handles and sanitising station before and end of shift. They will wash hands/use hand sanitiser regularly.
  • If a pupil becomes poorly mid class, exit will be via our back door. Colleagues and class mates will be informed if this is COVID 19 related.
  • Due to difficulties in socially distancing young children, children under 4yrs olds will have home learning classes via Zoom on a Saturday until advised otherwise.
  • During our classes we will be following guidelines for social distancing while exercising, including taking turns and taking advantage of the musical counts to wait for the slip stream to settle. The studio now has grid markings to help with social distancing.
  • Teachers will maintain social distance. Feedback will be verbal and visual only, with the exception of a few Acro exercises that require ‘spotting’. This will be done wearing a mask and using hand sanitiser each time.
  • Where the barre is essential, it will will be used on one side alone and at least 2m apart. Pupils have one barre each. This will be cleaned before and after use.
  • Booking classes and taking payment will be via the website. Payment by PayPal or bank transfer only.
  • Lost property will not be kept! Teachers will quickly remind pupils while leaving the studio.
  • Our toilet facilities will be restricted to staff only. Toilets are available on the 1st floor of the Atrium and in the Square.
  • Communication between parents and teachers will be made via email. The website and Facebook page will be kept up to date.
  • First Aid kit and ice pack will be available in the kitchen. Events will be logged and verbalised with relevant parties. Defibrillator is available (Atrium management)
